Design & Boatbuilding (up to 16 students, grades 9 – 12)
A semester-long class where students work together to build and launch a full-scale wooden boat as well as a scale model, in weekly two-hour sessions at AHB’s shop. Students also learn about career opportunities in STE(A)M fields (science, technology, engineering, art/design, and math) and skilled trades from AHB’s industry partners. This can be articulated for academic credit.
